mr. gnome

Thanks to a recommendation by a friend, I've been listening to mr. Gnome on repeat for pretty much the last two weeks. They are haunting and ethereal and surreal and everything in between. I'm hooked. Here, I've shared their latest album Madness in Miniature. Enjoy!

Also, here is a sneak peek at their upcoming music video for "House of Circles" which just happens to be one of my favorite songs on the album. Via their website: The comic book style surreal adventure is a live action interpretation of a sci-fi graphic novel written by mr. Gnome featuring the dark fantasy characters from the Madness in Miniature cover art. How cool is that?! Check it out!

And a-one and a-two

Well that last post was a pretty depressing one to leave you with, so let's lighten the mood, shall we? Here is a band I have recently come across and they seem "aprettycool". The Google mystifying name, 1,2,3 only adds to their cool factor. I hope you enjoy, cause I sure do.

Visit them here and listen to more songs.

CAN'T HARDLY WAIT!

For Spring, that is! Here are some things I am looking forward to this Spring.

Gorgeous spring flowers like peonies, a favorite!

Zappos
Being able to wear Spring shoes. Open toe wedges, here I come!

And...

driving in my Bug (mine isn't as cute as this one!) with the windows open, listening to this song...

What's something you can't wait for?

Music for a Rainy Day

It's raining cats and dogs here in the middle of New Jersey. I'm home, on a semi-break from work. It's only a semi-break because I have two jobs and I have off from one for the next week, but I still have the other to attend. So I'm still up in the dark hours of the morning and driving home in the dark hours of the evening. I have been especially getting into the holiday spirit of things by decorating my apartment and thinking of all the gifts I need to get for the people I care about. Also, right now, I have a turkey sitting in my oven. No, I don't just cook turkeys just for the hell of it. My boss (from the nanny job) gave me a turkey. If someone could mention to him  that a holiday bonus is more appropriate than a turkey, I would appreciate it. Anyways, every Thanksgiving I go to my aunts house, so this turkey has been sitting at my moms... thawing. I needed to cook it. So why not a rainy Wednesday when I will be home in the middle of the day? Sounds good to me. If you are, by chance, also taking care of stuff around the house, here is a short little playlist to keep you company. Enjoy.

Jeremy Larson's new band Fort Christmas has an EP titled Feathers releasing October 19th. From what I have heard, it's cute and fun and reminds me a lot of the Beach Boys actually! That's always a good thing. Here's a song off the album. Enjoy!
