August Break : a weeks end

On Saturday, Will and I hung out with Joshua, my awesome nephew. He is hilarious and too cute for his own good. We hung out at my mom's house. It was such a pretty day so we spent most of it outside. We tried swimming but the water was way too cold. Later that evening, Will and I headed over to my friend Nina's house to eat up some delicious crabs they caught on the bay. It was such a treat!

Today, I hung out with my good friend Amanda. We had our girl talk time, ate yummy food, saw Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and got soaked in the pouring rain. On our way home, I managed to drop my tote bag in a giant puddle and get my keys locked in my car! I was pretty bummed but I called up my roadside assistance and they sent over some help right away. Thanks USAA!

August Break : making a fool of myself

I just wrote a paragraph describing my blog for a feature over on Kelly Ann's blog. I don't know when it's going up but I felt pretty silly doing it. I took these pictures to go along with the description. This is just one of 4 awesome masks I got on etsy. They hang above my make up table. You know, to serve as a metaphor and remind me of the mask I am putting on. Just kidding, I'm not that deep.

August Break : in the car

At lot of my days are spent in the car. I think I live in a very pretty area and I don't mind driving. I just hate bad drivers. Also, don't worry about that last one, I was parked.

I used rollip.com to edit these pictures. I lost a lot of the quality (I took these with a dslr) but I like the colors and I suck at editing pictures. Do you think it's worth it?

August Break : from bed

  I'm already in bed, kinda forgot about my picture of the day. I'll try to make it a good one tomorrow.

August Break : lucky

Today I was in a weird mood, but it got better when I found out I got my all time favorite magazine, Lucky. Now please excuse me while I curl up and reread it for the millionth time. Also, please send all your love and prayers to the city of London. I don't understand how people can destroy their own city. You aren't sending any real message, you are only being destructive. Stop the riots!

August Break : water logged

Have you ever had one of those days that started off rocky but then it got really awesome? That's how my day went. A weird morning with miscommunications led into an afternoon at the camp with my Mom, sister, and nephew. We swam, enjoyed the water park, and zipped down the water slides.  After being thoroughly water logged, Will and I headed to Chipotle to pick up some burritos and enjoy them in bed while watching Limitless.

That feeling when you are so tired and you hop into your familiar bed, the sheets cool and crisp, wrapped around you. Yeah, that. That's what it's all for. I hope you all enjoyed your weekends.

August Break : a one for the books

I had an awesome day. First, I downloaded a new game, From Dust which I got to play for a little while. Then I went to lunch, and to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows 2 for the second time with my awesome friend Amanda. We are so similar is scary. And by scary I mean awesome. Then, when Will got home, we went out to Ruby Tuesdays which has my favorite drinks Mango Mojitos!!! Seriously, if you go to Ruby Tuesdays, get one. They are incredible. I may or may not be slightly inebriated from said drinks still. And by that I mean I am. I was going to take a picture of my drink but it was too dark in there. Anyways, this is a pretty picture for my pretty day. Thanks friends!

August Break : nice and neat

Don't be scared. That mysterious black creature is just Chloe. Those with black furry friends know how hard it is to take pictures of them. This is my dresser, which has probably only looked like this when I moved into my apartment. I usually have piles of clothes on top of it. Part of my Project Grown up plans were to organize my things better and I figured it was easier for me to use the closet and Will to use the drawers. I finally took out all my clothes, cleared off the top of the dresser, and took a picture as proof for I'm not sure how long this will last. Also, while putting Wills clothes in the drawers, I became envious. I like his clothes better than mine. Is that weird? I feel like purging a lot of my clothes but I don't want to regret it. More on this later...

August Break : with a few minutes to spare

It's 11:15pm. I made it. I'm posting today's picture! Aren't you so proud of me? Truth is, I was saving it for tonight because we had plans to go to the county fair after work. Will met up with me, we met up with some friends, and then we proceeded to abandon them as they wanted to go on all the dizzying rides and I wanted to see all the fuzzy animals. I had fun! I'm eating some fried Oreos as I type this. It's pretty messy, but so worth it. Jealous? Thought so.

August Break: two for one

So, it really doesn't surprise me that I skipped the SECOND day into a project. Also, I don't really have an excuse. I actually had an impromptu day off. I did however manage to take a picture yesterday, I'm just getting around to posting it now.

It's obviously pretty underwhelming. I even wrote on it to distract from the boring-ness. I was stuck in traffic, at 1 in the afternoon. BUT I was on my way to my friend Nina's apartment where we chatted, caught up on Curb Your Enthusiasm, and ate yummy Chinese food. Needless to say, my day got much better after this traffic jam.

Since this is a two for one post, I thought I should stick with the "take a picture of a road with my cell phone" theme. The only thing I look forward to on my way to work at 5:30 is the sky. It's always so pretty when the sun is still rising. This picture is again taken with my cell phone so you can't really see how glorious it was, but the colors are pretty, no?

I'll try to end my streak of road photos and start my streak of posting everyday. Deal? Deal.

August Break: best friends

This is the first time I am participating in a multi-blogger feature. Susannah is hosting August Break, a gentle reminder to capture the memories of your summer! I am going to try my hardest (really!) to post one picture a day.

I took this instax yesterday. It's Iovanni and my husband William. Iovanni started working with William around the same time we started dating. They quickly became best friends and it wasn't long until I was the third wheel. Iovanni is one of the most thoughtful and caring people I have ever met. Even though he now lives in Philly, we try to see him as often as we can and yesterday we spent a fun- filled, sun-filled day at the camp with a bunch of friends. Iovanni is an amazing friend and we are so glad to know him! Love you, Iova!
